Shipping & Returns


United States Shipping

Shipping cost is a flat $8.99. We typically ship within three days of the date the order was received. Once the carrier confirms the package has been delivered, the risk of loss transfers to the customer. If you have issues with packages being stolen, or you don't want to have the carrier leave your package, please request Signature Confirmation when you check out.

International Shipping

Shipping cost is the exact shipping cost to us.

We ship to virtually any address in the world that are not a restricted country according to US Export laws.

After you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose.

Please also note that the shipping costs are typically weight-based and/or based on package volume/size, depending on the shipping method used.

Please note! Once an international order has been processed and scanned by the carrier, all International Orders are not returnable, and the risk of loss transfers to the customer in the event the package is lost or caught up in customs. We’d love to have your business, but If you don’t agree with this then please don’t place an order!

Even though Preppy Outlet is a clearance website, we still want you to be satisfied with your purchase. All returned items are for STORE CREDIT.

*EXCEPTIONS: Due to Hygienic purposes, the following items will be FINAL SALE: earrings, swimwear, undergarments, hair accessories (including hats), socks and eyewear.  There also may be an occasional listing that specifically says no returns accepted.

Anything that has the tags removed (even accidently!), smells of smoke, has stains, animal hair, has been washed/worn, or damaged cannot be returned. In other words, it must be returned in its original condition. If you believe you have received an item with a defect we must be contacted within 3 days of the date it was delivered to you in order for you to get a replacement. This is a strict rule so check you package as soon as it is delivered!

This credit will be placed on the customer account that was created at checkout. If the customer checks out as a guest they will need to create a customer account in order to redeem a store credit.

Please note that all store credits will expire after a year!

How long do I have to return an item?

Items must be postmarked within 5 business days of the date the order was delivered by the carrier in order to get the store credit.  Anything after that will not be accepted, and the customer will be responsible for shipping costs to get it back. If a customer chooses not to pay shipping charges to get it back, the items will be donated to charity after 30 days. (We like to be flexible, but this is a strict rule, so please mark your calendars!) This means if you received your package on Monday, you have until Saturday to get the package back in the mail.

Remember! Products must be in the original condition, just as you received them, with no smells tags still attached and unworn (sorry, this is a strict rule too!).

How to I return my items?

  1. Log into your account, and follow the instructions on selecting items to return.
  2. Place your receipt in the package. Don't have your receipt? No problem, because you know we have your information!
  3. Secure your postage to the package and make sure you get it postmarked by the 5th day from the day your package was delivered by the carrier.

What service do I use to ship it back and am I responsible for insurance?

You have the freedom to ship with any carrier you choose.  Just like us, you are responsible for lost packages until the carrier verifies delivery, so you may want to purchase insurance.

Once we receive returns, they will be processed within 7 business days. You will then be given a store credit of the amount of the item minus the original shipping charges. 

You will receive an email with your receipt so you know the transaction has been processed. Look in your spam folder if you don't see it!
